Who is Robert Norton? Robert James Norton was born in June of 2013. Robert is a happy go lucky little man, who loves to play with water. He attends a great elementary school under an ESE program. He has been receiving speech therapy since he was 18 months. At the young age of three Robert was officially diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum. Robert is non-verbal, has a sensory disorder as well as ADHD. Robert struggles to communicate. Communication as we all know is the essence to human life. Without it, we struggle to connect with the outside world.
Here at the Robert Norton Foundation, it is our goal, our mission to not only bridge the gap between those in need and them acquiring the help they need. But to allow them to have the opportunity to have a voice. We are working with developers to build an augmentative and alternative communication device. We know firsthand how frustrating it can be to get our children the services they need in timely fashion. Our devices will be given to those who need them, to give them a voice to connect, to be heard. To feel connected to the outside world.
We live it every day. We understand the frustration, the anxiety of the unknown, the love we have for our children. This foundation has been created with love, passion and determination. Help us give kids a voice.
